a means to organization. assimilation to creating piles. piles of things. the process of stacking. and of crossing out, notebooks logs journals as extended versions of lists or stacks. ways to relay a thorough compilation of information. ways to eliminate/reduce clutter materiality. feelings of attachment to materiality. but constantly trying to simplify. getting caught up in the now, current present moment of "reality." of my reality. listing, stacking ensures process. completion. tracks experience & time. time. connections to a more universal time measurement. i always wear a watch. creating segmented moments, installations. things to do, or were done, lists to break up the melancholy, the who what where whys, the importants and the mundanes, the noticed and studied, series that inspire and participate, being involved currently. striving to indulge, be consumed, feel a totalness. having control when there really is none, and then most importantly letting go.
in separating out / creating lists & order, i find that everything overlaps. everything is relative. so my list is my stack of photographs that i have taken that seem to define and highlight aspects of my world. finding my perspective in knowing that nothing in itself is special, because everything is.
